In Dnipro, in the Novokodak district, a 50-year-old man, previously convicted of intentional murder, attempted to stab his own brother while he was asleep. This was reported by "Vydomo," citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The primary reason for the conflict was a long-standing feud between the brothers, which apparently had been building up over the years and ultimately erupted in an unprecedented act of violence. While his brother slept, the 50-year-old man armed himself with a knife and inflicted several wounds. The victim sustained serious injuries and would not have survived if help had not been provided in time.
The swift response of the police allowed for the prompt arrest of the criminal. At the crime scene, material evidence—a knife used in the attack—was found.
It is noteworthy that the attacker already had a criminal record for intentional murder.
Currently, the victim is in the hospital, receiving the necessary medical assistance. His condition remains critical, but doctors are taking all possible measures to save his life.
The investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are carrying out all necessary actions to establish the circumstances of the incident and hold the perpetrator accountable.
The case will be reviewed in court, and the attacker will be held fully accountable in accordance with Ukrainian law.
