In the city of Kamenskoye, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a theft occurred at a flower shop in the "Kvaki" market, situated in the 4th microdistrict of Heroiv Boulevard. This was reported by "Vidomo".
The victim of the crime was a saleswoman who briefly stepped away from the store, leaving the door unlocked. A previously convicted man took advantage of this situation and entered the shop without any obstacles.
The stolen items included two gift envelopes that were in the saleswoman's bag. Inside the envelopes was a total of 8000 hryvnias. After committing the theft, the perpetrator fled the crime scene.
Employees of the Kamenskoye police department interviewed witnesses, and based on their testimonies, the criminal was apprehended. The stolen money had already been spent by the accused.
During the court proceedings, the thief fully admitted his guilt and expressed remorse for his actions. This factor, along with other mitigating circumstances, influenced the final verdict—initially, the accused faced 7 years and 1 month of imprisonment under the robbery charge; however, considering his confession and regret, the court imposed a sentence of 5 years in prison.
