In the Nikopol district, a community police officer located a missing 75-year-old woman who had wandered through the surrounding villages for almost two days. This information was reported by "Vydomo," citing the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The alarm was first raised by employees of the Pokrovsk rural territorial community social services center, who reported the elderly woman's disappearance to the "102" hotline.

"The report came in on December 19. Community police officer Roman Martyniuk immediately set out to search for her. The law enforcement officer learned that the woman was last seen two days before the police report was filed. Previously, Anna had left home several times and wandered near farms or other villages in the area. She has no close relatives nearby; her daughter has passed away, and her granddaughter lives abroad. Therefore, the elderly woman was under the supervision of social workers," the police stated.

After driving around nearby villages in a service vehicle with a social services representative, checking abandoned buildings and bushes, they were able to find the elderly woman.

Thanks to the vigilance of the social service staff, we urge citizens not to be indifferent to elderly people.

Currently, thanks to the police officer and social workers, the grandmother is doing well.
