According to Zelensky, since the beginning of the full-scale war with Russia, over 46,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died, and another 380,000 have been injured. He also mentioned that tens of thousands of soldiers are missing or may be in captivity.

In contrast, Russia has lost approximately 350,000 troops on the frontlines, with 50,000 to 70,000 reported missing, and over 600,000 Russian soldiers have sustained injuries.

Zelensky also stated that tens of thousands of civilians may have perished due to Russian aggression; however, the exact number is unknown as a significant portion of the territory remains occupied.

It is worth noting that in December 2024, Zelensky reported 43,000 military casualties.

At the beginning of February 2025, the president indicated that 45,100 Ukrainian soldiers had died in the war, and another 390,000 had been injured.
