The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky plans to attend the ceremony for the reopening of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, which will take place on December 7.
This was reported by AFP, citing an unnamed Ukrainian official.
“The President of Ukraine will take part in the celebrations marking the restoration of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. He will meet with President (Emmanuel) Macron,” the official stated. Diplomatic sources in Paris confirmed that Zelensky will attend the ceremony.
The Ukrainian source also mentioned that “other meetings are possible, including with the elected President Donald Trump, who will also participate in the event.”
“This will be their first meeting since Trump’s election, who stated that he would ensure a ceasefire within 24 hours in the Russian-Ukrainian war. His comments have raised concerns that he might push Ukraine to accept peace on Russia’s terms,” the publication emphasized.
It is worth noting that recently the media reported that the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak met in Washington with Trump’s special representative Keith Kellogg and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. They were also joined by the elected Vice President JD Vance.
Journalists also revealed details of the peace plan for the war in Ukraine that Keith Kellogg will promote.
