The Security Service of Ukraine has detained the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces, who also serves as the deputy chairman of the Central Military Medical Commission and is responsible for assessing the fitness of military personnel for service.
According to the SBU press service, during the full-scale war, the psychiatrist accumulated unjustified assets totaling over one million dollars.
The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health have launched a reform of the military medical commission: what will changeIt will no longer be necessary to visit the military registration and enlistment offices, as this can be done in civilian medical institutions.At the same time, the individual did not declare the corresponding assets and registered them in the names of his wife, daughter, sons, and other unrelated individuals.
Media reports indicate that the individual in question is Oleg Druze.
According to the investigation, between 2022 and 2024, the suspect acquired:
- a private house in the Obukhov district of Kyiv region;
- two apartments in Kyiv;
- an apartment in Odesa;
- two plots of land in the Obukhov district of Kyiv region;
- a BMW X7 from 2024;
- a BMW X7 from 2022;
- a BMW X5 from 2023;
- a BMW X3 from 2022;
- other assets.
During searches, SBU investigators also found 152 thousand dollars and 34 thousand euros in his possession.
The detainee is facing charges under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Article 368-5 (illegal enrichment), Article 366-2 (declaration of false information).
Decisions are being made regarding the selection of a preventive measure and the imposition of an arrest on the official's assets.
Recall that the day before, it became known about the detention of generals who, according to the investigation, bear responsibility for the unsuccessful defense of Kharkiv region during the Russian offensive in 2024.
Additionally, the former commander of the 155th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was detained for allowing the desertion of his subordinates.
