U.S. Vice President JD Vance summarized the discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the Munich Conference.
The politician's statement is quoted by RBC-Ukraine.

He emphasized that the primary goal of Donald Trump's administration is to end Russia's war against Ukraine.
“We want the killings to stop. But we want to achieve a strong, lasting peace, not one that will lead to conflict in Eastern Europe in just a few years,” Vance stated.
He added that in the coming weeks and months, the U.S. and Ukraine will have “many good discussions” on how to achieve peace.
“First of all, there are wonderful members of the Ukrainian delegation. We have our incredible Secretary of State Marco Rubio and General Kellogg. It’s important for us to come together and start talking,” the American politician said.
Recall that the day before, Zelensky explained under what conditions Ukraine would be willing to talk to Russia and what would be considered a red line.
Prior to this, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that negotiations between representatives of the U.S., Ukraine, and Russia regarding the cessation of war would take place next week in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Zelensky confirmed that he would indeed travel to Saudi Arabia in the coming days, but not for negotiations with Trump or Putin.
