According to the results of the repatriation efforts, the bodies of an additional 757 fallen warriors of the Defense Forces have been returned to Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

They noted that among those returned "on the shield" are military personnel from:

  • Kurakhove direction;
  • Pokrovsk direction;
  • Bakhmut direction;
  • Vuhledar direction;
  • Luhansk direction;
  • Zaporizhzhia direction;
  • morgues on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The bodies and remains will be handed over to law enforcement and representatives of forensic examination, who will work on identifying the deceased.

As a reminder, on January 24, it was reported that Ukraine had returned the bodies of 757 fallen soldiers from five directions.

Prior to this, the exchange of the bodies of deceased soldiers between Russia and Ukraine took place on December 20 of last year. At that time, the bodies of 503 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine.
