On the state portal "Diia," two new services for veterans and their families are now available – the registration of disability status due to war and the status of a family member of a deceased defender.

This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, via Telegram.

The services are available to:

  • veterans who have a disability certificate;
  • husbands, wives, parents, and children of deceased defenders with documents confirming participation in combat operations, death, and family ties.

“To obtain the status, you need to submit an application with just a few clicks in Diia. There’s no need to gather additional documents, spend hours in queues, or navigate through all the bureaucratic hurdles as was required before,” Fedorov emphasized.

Recall that on February 11, it was reported that over two thousand defenders had already received the status of combatants (UBD) automatically through "Diia."

At the end of November, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the veteran policy strategy until 2030 and confirmed the operational plan for its implementation. It was also reported that veterans will receive an additional 1500 hryvnias quarterly.
