Укрзализныця с 1 февраля этого года повышает цены на билеты на некоторые международные поезда.

From February 1, Ukrzaliznytsia will reduce discounts on international trains to Poland and Hungary. This means that ticket prices will significantly increase.

This was announced by the press service of UZ on Tuesday, January 28.

It is reported that starting in February, ticket prices to Poland and Hungary will rise, while fares to Austria and Moldova will remain unchanged.

“Currently, the company is compelled to gradually reassess the size of these discounts, as the costs of materials and energy resources have significantly increased, resulting in passenger transportation losses reaching 18 billion UAH last year,” the statement reads.

Ticket prices to Poland will increase:

  • in first-class Intercity+ and SV cars – by 20-27%;
  • in coupe cars – by 9-27%.

The cost of tickets for the Kyiv–Warsaw train will rise by 37%, while the Kyiv–Budapest route will see an increase of 17% for SV cars and 21% for coupe cars.

Tickets can be purchased at the old prices until January 31, 2025, inclusive, via the official UZ website and mobile app.

Recall that since December, UZ increased Wi-Fi limits on Intercity trains. The head of UZ announced last year the introduction of Wi-Fi on long-distance night trains.
