Ukraine has received the first tranche of $1 billion from frozen Russian assets from the USA.
This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.
Financing is provided through the US contribution of $20 billion as part of the G7 initiative.
It is known that the funds were credited to the state budget's general fund in a single tranche "based on the results of tasks completed prior to signing."
“The United States continues to support Ukraine in maintaining macroeconomic stability and the ability to provide necessary services to Ukrainians. For the first time, Ukraine is receiving funds that will be financed by income from frozen Russian assets. I am grateful to the USA for the prompt decision-making,” stated Finance Minister Sergey Marchenko.
It is also worth noting that today it became known that a tranche of $1 billion was received in the state budget of Ukraine as part of the World Bank's DPL development policy support program.
Earlier, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal reported on the expected external financing for 2025.
