The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has issued an order prohibiting the transfer of highly qualified specialists in the Air Forces who are responsible for aircraft maintenance to other units.
He shared this information in an interview with journalist Andriy Tsaplienko.
According to Syrskyi, his order prohibiting the transfer of highly qualified personnel who have undergone training and specialize specifically in aircraft maintenance to other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is currently in effect.
“Clearly, these are specialists with invested resources and experience, and there is essentially no one to replace them on one hand. On the other hand, we fundamentally need personnel at the front; we must raise an adequate number of personnel in our mechanized brigades. Unfortunately, mobilization capabilities do not cover this need,” he noted.
The Commander-in-Chief added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are reasonably reducing logistical components and some of the support within the army, as well as those involved in maintenance.
“Therefore, the headquarters are aware of these tasks, they have conducted calculations. And of course, our task is to prevent such situations; if any problem arises, we must react immediately,” Syrskyi emphasized.
It is worth noting that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had previously commented on the information regarding the transfer of aviation technicians. At the same time, the Air Forces denied the transfer of critical specialists from the engineering and aviation service to other branches and types of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Additionally, the Air Forces have formed a special commission to oversee the process of transferring servicemen to other branches and types of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
