On January 21, the Solomiansky District Court in Kyiv set a preventive measure for Max Nazarov (Nazar Dioridze), the former host of the sanctioned TV channels “Our” and NewsOn.
This was reported by Radio Free Europe on Tuesday, January 21.
Nazarov has been placed in custody for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail of 12 million hryvnias.
The former host of Medvedchuk's channels is suspected of justifying Russian aggression against Ukraine.
It is reported that the defense requested a more lenient preventive measure, such as house arrest or personal obligation. During the hearing, Nazarov stated that he had “never betrayed Ukraine” and had worked for its benefit during the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation. He also noted that journalists are not responsible for the statements of guests on air.
According to Nazarov, he considers the court's decision to be unjust.
Recall that on January 18 of this year, former host of Viktor Medvedchuk's TV channels and Russian propagandist Max Nazarov was informed of suspicion for justifying the aggression of the Russian Federation.
This is not the first suspicion against former hosts of Medvedchuk's sanctioned TV channels.
