The Trump administration has decided to halt the sale of weapons to Ukraine. Currently, the military-political leadership is awaiting decisions that would clarify the situation.

This was stated by Roman Kostenko, the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, during the broadcast of the "Tema with Mosiichuk" program.

"It's one thing to assist with funds, but we're purchasing weapons. As of now, according to my information, the items that were even up for sale have been halted. Even those companies that are ready to transfer them here tomorrow are now waiting. Because there is no decision," he explained.

Kostenko added that Western countries have allocated money for Ukraine to procure this weaponry.

"It's one story when they sell to us, and Europe helps us. And we know that Germany, France, and Britain have allocated significant funds to allow us to purchase it worldwide. It's another matter when we talk about Europe's subjectivity – I've already suggested this, and I don't know if Europe will go for it," the MP concluded.

It is worth noting that recently, U.S. President Trump criticized Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky for the lack of accountability regarding the use of U.S. aid.

In response, Zelensky stated that the full-scale war has cost Ukraine a total of $320 billion. He also noted that Trump's claim about the U.S. providing $500 billion in aid is not accurate.
