Maia Sandu took the oath of office for her second term as President of Moldova on December 24.
This was reported by the Moldovan publication Newsmaker on Tuesday.
In her speech before taking the oath, Sandu emphasized that society has managed to maintain peace and protect its democracy despite the crises of recent years and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She also called for national mobilization and the continuation of the country's development path.
“I can tell you, hand on heart: I worked with dedication during my first mandate, and I will continue with even more will and energy. After four years, I can modestly say that together we have accomplished what has never been done in 30 years of independence,” Sandu declared.
According to her, there is still much work ahead, but the chosen path is the right one.
Recall that on November 4, Sandu announced her victory in the presidential elections. President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Sandu on her victory on the same day.
