Representatives of the Republican Party have introduced a bill in the U.S. Congress to completely withdraw the country from the United Nations.
This is reported by Fox News.

The bill proposes the withdrawal of the country from the UN and all associated agencies, as well as the cessation of funding for their activities. The document also states that the U.S. will not be able to participate in peace negotiations with the UN, and the executive branch is prohibited from entering into any agreements regarding membership in the UN or its subsidiary organizations without Senate approval.
The bill was introduced by Republican Senator Mike Lee from Utah. The initiative was co-sponsored by Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee.
Texas Republican Chip Roy plans to present this initiative in the House of Representatives on Friday, stating that the UN and its bodies do not represent the interests of Americans.
"The UN has become a platform for tyrants and a venue for attacks on America and its allies. We must stop paying for this. As President Trump revolutionizes our foreign policy by putting America first, we should withdraw from this fictitious organization and prioritize real alliances that ensure the security and prosperity of our country,” Lee stated.
It is worth noting that in January, President Donald Trump signed an order for the U.S. to withdraw from the World Health Organization.
Additionally, the U.S. announced its exit from the UN Human Rights Council, although the country is not currently a member of that body.
