The National Bank is prepared to consider lifting restrictions on card transfers, but only under certain conditions.
This was stated by the head of the regulator, Andrey Pyshny, in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.

According to him, this option is possible if the authorities adopt a law on the registry of so-called drops.
Furthermore, the NBU expects banks to take the initiative in improving their internal control systems. In particular, this involves a risk-oriented approach based on the principle of "know your customer."
"We will monitor how the updated processes perform for a month or two," Pyshny stated. "If they prove effective, the NBU will lift the 150,000 UAH limit on card transfers as promised," said the head of the NBU.
Recall that in December, the largest banks in Ukraine signed a memorandum that stipulates enhanced financial monitoring and new restrictions on card transfers.
As of February 1, 2025, a limit of 150,000 UAH per month for card transfers will apply to all clients without verified sources of income. Starting June 1, this limit will be reduced to 100,000 UAH.
It was also reported that last autumn, the National Bank imposed certain restrictions on the use of currency cards abroad.
