North Korean troops have engaged in combat with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk direction and have come under fire.
This was reported on Monday, November 4, by Andrei Kovalenko, head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, on his Telegram channel.
"The first North Korean soldiers have already come under fire in Kursk," he wrote.
However, Kovalenko did not provide details about the battle.
It is worth noting that North Korean soldiers stationed in the Kursk region of Russia have already conducted combat training. They have been assigned translators and soldiers from the Russian army.
South Korean intelligence reported that most of the North Korean military personnel in Russia are under 20 years old, with some being teenagers.
The GUR stated that North Korean troops, who were transferred from the Primorsky Krai of Russia closer to the border with Ukraine, have been issued mortars, automatic rifles, and sniper rifles.
