In Ukraine, the heating season has begun for social and residential facilities, with connections being made everywhere except in the Kherson region, where it is still warm.
This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram on Tuesday, November 5.
According to him, the readiness of communities and regions for winter is at one hundred percent.
Currently, 83% of all heating plants that provide heat supply are operational. Heat is being supplied to 70% of residential buildings, as well as to over 80% of schools, hospitals, and kindergartens.
Shmyhal added that the situation regarding the start of the heating season is under the control of the relevant ministries and agencies.
The Prime Minister stated that Ukraine has sufficient domestic energy resources for this winter.
“Gas reserves in underground storage facilities are enough for household consumers, for heat supply companies, and budgetary institutions. While forming the reserves, we took into account the needs for the operation of gas installations for decentralized generation,” Shmyhal wrote.
He reminded that for the second heating season, the country will be using only Ukrainian gas.
Let us recall that the Mayor of Kyiv discussed how the heating season is progressing in the capital. The Ministry of Energy reported on whether Ukraine will have enough gas until the end of winter.
