Pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine have signed a declaration aimed at reducing and stabilizing drug prices. They have agreed to lower the retail prices of the 100 most popular medications by 30% starting from March 1.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
The list of the 100 most popular medications in Ukraine, which are most frequently purchased by Ukrainians according to analytical data, includes:
- 20 products from the company "Darnitsa";
- 17 from "Farmak";
- 22 from the Kyiv Vitamin Plant;
- 5 from "Kusum Farm";
- 6 from "Yuria-Pharm";
- 8 from the "Arterium" corporation;
- 2 from the pharmaceutical factory "Viola";
- 3 from the Borshchahivka Chemical-Pharmaceutical Plant;
- 10 from "InterChem".
The list includes cough and cold medications, antihistamines, anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic drugs, vitamins and trace elements, medications for blood pressure normalization, anti-ulcer medications, sedatives, eye drops, nasal sprays, and others.



"Measures have also been proposed to create conditions for further price stabilization. The declaration is open for signing by other market participants," emphasized the Ministry of Health.
Recall that last week, President Volodymyr Zelensky approved a decision by the National Security and Defense Council to reduce prices for essential and most in-demand medications in Ukraine by 30% starting March 1.
In December of last year, the Cabinet of Ministers modernized and expanded the "Affordable Medicines" program. It was also reported that the Cabinet permitted Ukrainians to get vaccinated at pharmacies.
