Делегация во главе с королем и премьер-министром Испании подверглась нападению во время посещения региона Валенсия, наиболее пострадавшего от наводнения.

King Felipe VI of Spain, along with his wife and officials, visited one of the cities most affected by the flooding, where they were met with mud and boos.

This was reported by the publication El Dario.

It is noted that officials, including the country's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, accompanied the monarch as he attempted to speak with local residents. However, a crowd of angry people, who had endured a deadly flood that claimed at least 211 lives, pelted the officials with mud.

“King Felipe faced an enraged crowd in Paiporta, Valencia province, which was affected by the floods, with protesters shouting ‘murderer’,” the report states.

Throughout the ordeal, the king remained calm and tried to pacify the shouting citizens.

The rains that began on Monday led to flooding that destroyed bridges, cut off communities, and left them without water, food, and electricity.

According to the publication, the crowd's anger was primarily directed at Sánchez and the head of the Valencia region, Carlos Massó.

Citizens complained that the official visit came six days after the disaster, criticizing the authorities for their delay in providing assistance following the catastrophe.

As of Saturday, November 2, it is known that the massive flooding in Spain has already resulted in 211 deaths.

Recall that on Tuesday evening, heavy rains began in southern and eastern Spain, causing flooding. In just eight hours, the annual rainfall total fell, resulting in destroyed roads, railways, and bridges, with rivers overflowing their banks. The death toll continues to rise each day, and dozens more people are missing.
