The Ministry of Defense clarified the conditions of the annual contract for volunteers aged 18 to 24. It exclusively includes combat positions.
This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmitry Lazutkin, during a telethon on Thursday, February 13.
The Ministry of Defense explained who among the volunteers can receive a million before the contract conditions changeMilitary personnel aged 18-24 who voluntarily signed a contract with the army before the contract conditions change will also receive one million hryvnias.According to him, the program enables rapid training of youth and provides the army with professional personnel. Volunteers will undergo training in six combat brigades designated by the General Staff.
Contract soldiers under this program will be allowed to hold only combat positions that carry risks. Specifically, these include:
- rifleman, senior rifleman, sniper, sanitary shooter;
- grenade launcher assistant, grenade launcher, senior grenade launcher;
- reconnaissance soldier, senior reconnaissance soldier.
Training Conditions
All military personnel under this contract will be thoroughly trained. The training will consist of three stages:
- 45 days of basic training;
- 14 days of professional training (extendable depending on the position);
- 14 days of adaptation within the brigade.
We remind you that on February 11, the Ministry of Defense officially presented the "Contract 18-24" project, which allows citizens aged 18 to 25 to voluntarily join the Defense Forces for a period of one year. Applications can already be submitted through Reserve+.
