This was announced by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on Telegram.

How often do Ukrainians get married and divorcedStatistics on the number of marriages and divorces registered in Ukraine from 2011 to 2023 – illustrated in an infographic. In the first year of the major war, Ukrainians married more frequently, but by 2023, the number of marriages had decreased.

“We have launched a certificate for singles in Diia. This is definitely something that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world. Don't be discouraged if you find yourself without a partner on Valentine's Day. We have prepared a special digital gift. We have digitized everything for couples, and we haven't forgotten about Ukrainians who are actively searching. If you are not married or are already divorced, update Diia, select Add Document, and generate your certificate. The data is verified in the registry, so with the certificate, you can find out if a person is indeed unmarried,” he wrote.

According to him, the singles certificate is an ideal document because you can upload any photo of yourself and include your interests.

“And the most interesting part: the certificate has a QR code that can be scanned in real-time, allowing you to become a couple and share this on social media. After that, make a proposal and get married together with Diia,” Fedorov noted.

It is worth mentioning that according to the Ministry of Justice, in Ukraine in 2024, there were 19% fewer marriages and 42% more divorces registered compared to 2023.
