“We are supporting Ukrainians in their continued preparations for winter, and as part of this goal, we are increasing our emergency humanitarian aid. This is an additional 200 million euros for urgent winter assistance. This means that even frontline homes without electricity will be able to receive heat,” she stated.

The package will include:

  • solid fuel for heating and generators;
  • insulation for residential buildings;
  • winter clothing and blankets;
  • financial assistance for getting through the winter period.

Baerbock also mentioned that Germany will continue to support Ukraine within the framework of the international coalition to strengthen air defense.

Recall that on October 17, the German authorities provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a new military aid package. The list included armored vehicles, shells, and other weapons.

It was also reported that the EU will allocate an additional 160 million euros to Ukraine to support energy security ahead of another winter amid the ongoing war.
