Trump's advisors suggested postponing Ukraine's NATO membership and freezing the war along the front line – WSJAdvisors to Donald Trump have proposed delaying Ukraine's NATO membership for at least 20 years and freezing the war along the front line, according to WSJ.

According to the publication, Erdoğan wants to suggest to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to postpone discussions on Ukraine's NATO membership for at least 10 years as a concession to Vladimir Putin.

His plan also includes the establishment of a demilitarized zone in Donbas. Erdoğan will propose placing international troops there as an additional guarantee and ensuring Ukraine receives military supplies as compensation for agreeing to delay NATO membership.

Turkish officials acknowledge that it will be difficult for Ukraine to accept such a proposal, but they believe that "this is the most realistic approach." At the same time, Turkey aims to postpone discussions about the long-term fate of the occupied territories.

Recall that in spring, Erdoğan suggested organizing a peace summit involving Russia to address issues related to ending the war. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded that this format does not suit Ukraine.

Moreover, Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey will continue to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, including the return of Crimea.

In September, the president stated that Turkey plans to consider Ukraine's NATO membership "without haste."
