Male citizens of Ukraine aged 18-60 who submit their documents to the state enterprise "Dokument" by April 25, 2024, will be able to receive passports starting next week.

This was announced by Interior Minister Igor Klymenko.

Men returning from abroad may be offered jobs in the defense industry with a deferment from mobilization – ChernyshovUkraine is prepared to offer jobs in the defense sector to men abroad with a deferment from conscription.

Notifications indicating the date, time, and place of arrival will be sent out in the order of document submission.

“It took time to regulate the process of resuming document issuance to align it with current Ukrainian legislation. I remind you that as of today, a mandatory condition for the processing and obtaining of passports by male citizens of Ukraine aged 18-60 who are abroad remains the possession of military registration documents,” Klymenko explained.

Recall that last spring, Ukrainian diplomatic institutions abroad temporarily suspended services for men of conscription age due to a new mobilization law.

In May, services were resumed. However, applicants must submit their military registration document in either paper or electronic form in addition to the standard package of documents.
