On Tuesday, November 5, Australia announced the transfer of 14 fast sea boats to Ukraine to strengthen its maritime and coastal forces in the confrontation with Russia.
This information was reported on the website of the Australian Department of Defense.
It is noted that this aid package, valued at 14 million dollars, includes fast and maneuverable vessels for the operational response of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to threats in the Black Sea.
“This assistance expands previous deliveries of maritime equipment and complements Australia’s significant military and humanitarian contribution, which has provided Ukraine with over 1.3 billion dollars in military aid since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion,” the statement reads.
Recall that recently, Australia transferred aviation bombs Joint Direct Attack Munition Extended-Range (JDAM-ER) to Ukraine. These were decommissioned from the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).
Additionally, in October, it was reported that the Australian government would provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 245 million dollars. The new defense package includes 49 decommissioned Abrams M1A1 tanks.
