An investigation into the causes of the medical plane crash in Philadelphia is ongoing, after it exploded following its descent in a residential area shortly after taking off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport. It is known that there were six people on board, including a child who was receiving treatment at a hospital.

According to authorities, seven people died in the crash — six on board and one person on the ground. Additionally, 19 individuals were injured, three of whom have been hospitalized.

The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, confirmed that all those who died on board the aircraft were Mexican citizens. The plane was en route to Tijuana with a stopover in Missouri and was transporting a child, her mother, and four crew members.

Representatives of Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, which operated the Learjet 55, stated that the crew was experienced and that the aircraft underwent regular maintenance. The causes of the crash are currently unknown, with the investigation led by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in the United States.

Recall that on the evening of January 31, a Learjet 55 medical plane crashed in Philadelphia (USA) while heading to Springfield (Missouri). It fell just minutes after takeoff in a residential area near the Roosevelt Mall shopping center.

Furthermore, on Wednesday, January 29, an air disaster occurred over Washington. An American Airlines plane that had taken off from Wichita, Kansas, collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport and fell into the Potomac River.

There were 64 people on board the plane and three military personnel on the helicopter. No one survived.
