The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has informed European partners that it aims to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine by April 20.

This was reported by Bloomberg.

Basic, ideal, nightmarish: Bloomberg outlines three scenarios for ending the war in UkraineBloomberg has predicted three likely scenarios for the conclusion of the Russo-Ukrainian war. Sources from the publication also indicate that Europeans were stunned by the phone conversation between Trump and Putin.

Journalists, citing sources among European officials, note that the Trump administration explicitly stated its desire to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine by Easter, which falls on April 20.

However, European politicians pointed out that the pace of negotiations, set to begin next week in Saudi Arabia, is ambitious but unrealistic.

It is much more realistic to achieve a solution by the end of 2025,” remarked one of Bloomberg's sources.

Recall that Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski mentioned that U.S. Special Representative Kit Kellogg shared negotiation tactics regarding Ukraine with some European allies.

Previously, Kellogg outlined the compromises that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin would need to make to end the war, including territorial concessions.
