Ukrainians are calling for the punishment of the owner of the "BRSM-Nefть" gas station network, Andrey Biba, for his support of the "Russian world" and are suggesting a boycott of his gas stations.
This was stated by military officer Alexander Ignatiev on his Facebook.
According to him, Biba has not only financed pro-Russian movements since 2014 but has also continued to support structures linked to the Moscow Patriarchate and Russian propaganda following the full-scale invasion.
Journalists from RISU discovered that Biba has been funding the UOC MP for years, assisting in organizing protests against the Tomos of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and supporting pro-Russian political movements. Despite this, his business continues to operate smoothly in Ukraine.
"This alone would have been enough to shut down the gas stations back in March 2022 – at least impose sanctions or do something else," Ignatiev writes.
Moreover, he has even received awards from bishops who have been stripped of their Ukrainian citizenship.
"To win, we must unite against the enemy: not only the external one but also the internal. We must literally dismantle the remnants of the 'Russian world' and the fifth column. If the authorities do not impose sanctions, then there must be popular sanctions – a boycott of 'BRSM' gas stations. So that not a single penny of Ukrainians is spent on the Russian world and Biba... The time for half-measures is over: it's either us or them. No options," Ignatiev concluded.
