Recently in Ukraine, a scandalous case involving judge Lyudmila Saltan has sparked significant discussion, as she finds herself at the center of several high-profile incidents.

SubscribeAccording to “Sledstvo.Info”, she was suspended from her position back in April 2023 after being caught accepting a bribe – $4000 for delivering a favorable ruling in a civil case. The woman suggested that the party involved in the dispute give her money in exchange for a decision in favor of the plaintiff, but the individual reported her to the NABU, leading to her arrest.
The case against Saltan was examined in the High Anti-Corruption Court, but in September 2024, she chose to enlist in the military. She was assigned as a reserve sailor in the marine corps.
However, after a couple of months, complaints began to arise – it turned out that Saltan was showing up for duty intoxicated. On November 27, 2024, she reported for duty while drunk, leading to the creation of a protocol. This situation is currently under review in the Malinovsky District Court of Odesa.

However, the High Council of Justice refused to grant her request, rescheduling the hearing for January 29, 2025.
It’s worth noting that this is not the first instance of mobilized judges becoming embroiled in scandals, as another judge was recently dismissed for being caught drunk while on duty.
