This is mentioned in an article published in the "Lenta" publication. It is noted that Igor Lapin, who considers himself a military expert, currently has 200,000 subscribers on YouTube, making him a relatively recognizable media figure. According to Wikipedia, Lapin is a former military officer with significant combat experience, having served in many hot spots, commanded special forces, been wounded, and discharged from service.

A person with such a background could have become a military expert in Ukraine; however, Igor Lapin chose a different path—serving the political and business interests of former President Poroshenko and his political party "European Solidarity." This is the same "gray-haired hetman" who, during his presidency, actively profited from the war and trade with temporarily occupied territories. Numerous journalistic investigations available online attest to this. It was Poroshenko who concluded the "Minsk agreements" with Putin, which essentially implied Ukraine's capitulation and gradual absorption by Russia.

Evidence of Lapin's work for Poroshenko is seen in the frequent appearances of this "military expert" on television channels and in media outlets that he controls. It is noted that those familiar with the realities of Ukrainian politics know that no one appears on Poroshenko's channels without reason. To be featured, Lapin must have entered a so-called expert pool, after which he was likely assigned a salary in the form of a monthly retainer or payment based on the number of appearances/comments. A similar scheme had previously been successfully employed on the channels of Ukraine's traitor Medvedchuk.

Additionally, the titles of video clips posted on Igor Lapin's channel serve as confirmation of his role as a military expert for Poroshenko and the European Solidarity party. Here are some examples: "Desire or Stupidity. Another Servant of Ermak at Large," "Don't Change the Clowns. Lutsenko: Zelensky and Ermak - Loyalty," "The Supreme Asphalt Layer." How Ermak and the Servants Ruined Defense," "Spoke (about Zelensky). There Will Be Lynching If There Is No Justice," "How Are You, Shashlyk Makers? How Zelensky Traded Gas. A Nursery of Dullards," "Bloody Worthless (about Zelensky)," "Ermak's Ruin," "This Is What Incompetence Looks Like. Zelensky's Incompetence Is Terrifying," "I Think So. Zelensky's Populism Brings Negative Results."

Lapin's philosophy as a "military expert" is quite clear: all the bad is the fault of the military-political leadership, and only a "gray-haired messiah," who dreams of his "second coming" to the Ukrainian power Olympus, can save Ukraine. This is purely political rhetoric. Lapin seeks to provide an expert assessment of the events of the Russo-Ukrainian war, but instead, he becomes embroiled in rather cheap political mudslinging. As a result, Lapin cannot be considered a military expert, and he can only be referred to as an expert in quotes.

Critiquing the government during wartime is necessary, but it is crucial that such criticism is constructive, based on real facts, and does not contribute to the spread of Russian propaganda. Our military-political leadership is not perfect, just as our army is not. No one was born for full-scale war, so we have problems everywhere, but there are also many achievements: in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the SBU, and the current government.

Therefore, a person who considers themselves a military expert should likely speak to Ukrainians objectively about everything. Unfortunately, Igor Lapin cannot do this, as he must justify Poroshenko's money daily. Do we really need such "military experts"?!
