While Ukraine continues to fight for independence and raises funds for drones and bulletproof vests, the Baikovets Village Council has decided to allocate 6.7 million UAH for the repair of a 300-meter road leading to the local church.
The contract for this work was awarded to the Lviv-based firm "Dorozhnyk-T", which, according to previous investigations, is linked to controversial tenders and potential corruption schemes.
This was reported by ZAXID.NET.
How did the tender process unfold?
- The village council initially budgeted 8.7 million UAH for the work, but the amount decreased after the bidding.
- The firm "Dorozhnyk-T" won with a bid of 6.7 million UAH – it was the lowest among three participants.
- The contract was signed on February 6, 2025. The work is expected to be completed by the end of June.
What exactly will be done?
The contractor is required to refresh the asphalt, install curbs, lay paving stones, and put up road signs. The total area covered by the work will be 1835 m².
Who is "Dorozhnyk-T"?
The company has a less-than-stellar reputation:
- It is linked to firms that the Antimonopoly Committee fined for collusion in bidding and banned from participating in tenders.
- It is involved in an investigation regarding the embezzlement of budget funds, related to military KEO in Lviv.
Against the backdrop of daily volunteer fundraising efforts, the allocation of 6.7 million UAH for a road to the church seems, to put it mildly, peculiar. Instead of funding genuinely critical needs, budgetary resources are once again flowing into questionable hands.
