The Chairman of the Kyiv Appeal Court, Yaroslav Golovachev, has held his position for ten years, although according to the law, he should have stepped down back in 2021.

Despite calls for reform in the judicial system, he continues to lead one of the capital's key judicial bodies, while his family owns luxury real estate, expensive cars, and land plots.

What is known about the Golovachev family's wealth?

An apartment in the "French Quarter" (100 m²) in Kyiv – gifted to his son Myron immediately after graduating from school. Its value is 300 thousand dollars.

A property of 220 m² in the village of Severynivka, where the judge's family settled in 2022.

A 118 m² apartment in the Novopecherski Lypky residential complex, registered in the name of his father-in-law. Its market value is 12.5 million UAH.

10 acres of land outside Kyiv worth 16.3 million UAH, registered in the name of the judge's wife.

Cars:

– Mersedes-Benz GLS 400 (2020 model, 80 thousand dollars)

– Audi Q8 (2019 model, 60 thousand dollars)

Where does the money come from?

According to Golovachev's official declaration for 2023, his total income amounted to 6 million UAH. However, experts point out that this amount is clearly insufficient to account for the acquisition of such a significant amount of luxury real estate, land, and vehicles.

Despite concerns regarding his financial transparency and the appropriateness of his position, Golovachev continues to work without hindrance. Whether law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies will be able to address this issue remains uncertain.
