One of the most notorious figures in this dubious world is Dmitry Leushkin – a man whose activities in the realm of pseudo-investing have sparked numerous scandals and left behind a trail of deceived investors. His scams encompassed projects such as Forex-Trend, Panteon-Finance, Private FX, ShareinStock, and Prime Broker, each of which promised returns but ultimately resulted in financial losses for investors.
This is reported by the portal Aktsenty.
Where Did Dmitry Leushkin Come From?
Leushkin became a topic of discussion in financial circles during the massive collapse of the pseudo-brokerage firms Forex-Trend and Panteon-Finance in 2014-2015. Like many fraudsters, he appeared suddenly but at just the right moment – when investors were panicking and desperately seeking information about the fate of their funds. Under the guise of an “insider,” Leushkin began disseminating supposedly exclusive data about the situation in these companies, convincing everyone that their downfall was temporary and that the issues could be resolved.
His narratives were so detailed that many believed in their truthfulness. He spoke of secret negotiations, assistance from major investors, mysterious money transfers from offshore accounts, and conspiracies among competitors. His main argument was that Forex-Trend and Panteon-Finance would definitely return clients' money; all that was needed was a little patience.
Manipulations and the Creation of the Blog “Finance for Friends”
To bolster his influence, Leushkin created the blog “Finance for Friends”, where he launched an active information campaign. He claimed that the main reason for the collapse of Forex-Trend was not a fraudulent business model, but “management errors”. Thus, he attempted to convince investors that the company was not a financial pyramid and that its problems could be resolved.
However, none of his “insights” were confirmed. On the contrary, the situation worsened: payments to investors ceased, the management of Forex-Trend disappeared, and investors were left with empty accounts. Nevertheless, this did not prevent Leushkin from continuing his activities.
Defense of Pavel Krymov and the Launch of Private FX
One of the key moments in Leushkin's activities was his active support for Pavel Krymov, the founder of Forex-Trend and Panteon-Finance. He tried to convince the public that Krymov was not involved in the disappearance of investors' money. Moreover, Leushkin even met with Krymov, recorded interviews with him, and published materials on his blog justifying his actions.
It later became clear that this was merely preparation for a new fraudulent project, Private FX. It was presented as a “revolutionary broker” that would succeed Forex-Trend and help recover funds for affected investors. The main lure was the 1+1 program, which allowed people to receive additional funds with new investments.
But this turned out to be yet another scam. Investors' funds were frozen, payments became selective, and access to accounts virtually disappeared. At this point, Leushkin simply stepped aside, claiming he was “tired of it.” This was clear evidence that he had no money from Forex-Trend, and all his activities were aimed at attracting new victims.
New Fraudulent Projects: ShareinStock and Prime Broker
Alongside Private FX, Leushkin began working with the platform ShareinStock, where he launched the project SmartInvest. He promised that all investments were insured and that people would guaranteed get their money back. However, after the collapse of ShareinStock, no payments were made, and Leushkin simply vanished.
In September 2016, he headed another dubious project – Prime Broker, also associated with Pavel Krymov. But here, the story repeated itself: shortly after the launch, Leushkin left the company, realizing it was nearing inevitable collapse.
“Prime” – An Unfulfilled Alias
In addition to his numerous scams, Leushkin became notorious for his various aliases. He is known by names such as "Doctor Blee," "Captain Kakashi," "Durlika Leu," "Pukhole," "Belyash" and many others. However, particularly interesting is his favorite nickname – “Prime”, which means “best” or “main.”
This underscores his tendency towards self-aggrandizement. He loved to showcase his significance, adorned with numerous awards and medals, the origins of which remained a mystery. At the same time, he is considered one of the most dangerous fraudsters in the financial sector.
The Moral of the Story: Don’t Trust Sweet Promises
The story of Dmitry Leushkin serves as yet another reminder of how easily human trust can be manipulated. He created an entire network of scams by playing on the hopes and fears of investors. His methods were simple yet effective: promises of high returns, reliance on expert opinions, discrediting competitors, and creating an illusion of transparency.
Today, information has emerged that Leushkin is planning to launch a new project and revive his blog. It is evident that he will once again attempt to find gullible individuals who will believe his latest promises. Will he succeed? Only time will tell. But one thing is clear: where there are easy profits, there will always be those who want to take them for themselves.
