Outraged residents of Lviv are awaiting a session of the Eighth Appellate Administrative Court to express their civic stance and demand fair punishment for the Russian agent who has been hiding under a false name for years and harming the Ukrainian state.
The case of the "wolf in sheep's clothing," Maria Neskorodko, is finally nearing a decisive conclusion. Will justice manage to overcome corruption schemes and expose the insidious intentions of the Russian woman and her accomplices?
Who is Maria Neskorodko? The Double Life of "Ekaterina Cheprakova"
Maria Sergeyevna Neskorodko is a citizen of the Russian Federation, originally from St. Petersburg, who, starting in 2015, lived in Ukraine under the fictitious name Ekaterina Cheprakova, pretending to be the daughter of Lviv resident Sergey Cheprakov, with whom she indeed had an intimate relationship. This deception was part of the legend she and Cheprakov created, allowing the Russian woman to remain unnoticed for 9 years, effectively evading Ukrainian laws.
The true father of Maria, as journalists discovered, turned out to be Neskorodko Sergey Nikolayevich, born in 1960, who also moved from Russia to Lviv before the war, where he married a local Lviv resident, Valeria Dering, born in 1977.
In Russia, Sergey Nikolayevich has a son, Nazar, from his first marriage (Maria's brother), and a biological brother, Nikolai. The latter has faced criminal charges for the legalization and sale of Chevrolet Niva cars, illegally manufactured from defective and stolen parts from "AvtoVAZ." Quite an intriguing family, as the saying goes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
A Secret Life in Lviv: Evidence of Suspicious Activity
Maria Neskorodko's arrival in Lviv in 2015, soon after the Revolution of Dignity, the annexation of Crimea, and the Russian invasion of Donbas, does not seem coincidental. Her arrival remarkably coincides with the start of the occupation of Ukrainian territories, although according to the "refugee" herself, it was a "reunion with family" (with Cheprakov). However, Maria Neskorodko's life in the City of Lions hints at other intentions.
Witnesses whom journalists managed to interview claim that the "father" and "daughter" lived in the suburbs and led a rather reclusive lifestyle, which may indicate an attempt to avoid unnecessary attention, and their regular trips around the city resembled information gathering rather than ordinary movements. What information was Neskorodko collecting? To whom was she passing it on? Answers to these questions could be crucial for Ukraine's national security.
Another interesting fact is that Maria Neskorodko was held administratively liable in Ukraine, which confirms her attention from law enforcement, but unfortunately, without serious consequences – until a certain point.
"Russians Don't Surrender": Court Verdict and Appeal
Fortunately, thanks to the professional actions of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, Maria Neskorodko's deception was uncovered. She is currently detained and sent to a center for stateless persons, where she awaits the establishment of her identity and subsequent release from Ukraine.
On January 29, 2025, the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv made a ruling in case No. 461/791/25, finding Maria Neskorodko (referred to as person 1 in the court ruling) guilty of violating the conditions of foreign nationals' stay in Ukraine. The Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region (person 2 in the case) proved that Maria Neskorodko was illegally in Ukraine, using forged documents.
However, Neskorodko-Cheprakova does not seem to intend to give up easily. On February 7, she filed an appeal with the Eighth Appellate Administrative Court, attempting to overturn the first-instance decision. Here, another concerning aspect of this case arises – a possible corruption component. According to available information, Maria Neskorodko is using local connections to "resolve the issue" in her favor. So who is so diligently involved with this suspicious Russian woman in Lviv? Let’s find out.
A Military Deserter and an EU Deputy Defending a Russian Rat?
In court, Maria Neskorodko's interests are represented by Mykolaychuk Orest Ihorovych, an attorney with a significant political background. In 2015, he ran for the Lviv City Council from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc and currently works in the district council. He is also a member of the "European Solidarity" party.
A logical question arises: does the deputy mandate and political affiliation of Orest Mykolaychuk contradict the defense of someone illegally present in Ukraine and suspected of activities in favor of the aggressor state? Is he not using his influence and connections to help Maria Neskorodko evade responsibility? And finally, who is financing the not inexpensive legal services of Mykolaychuk, considering that the accused is unemployed and supposedly dependent on a fictitious father?
It seems there is already an answer to the last question. According to information from independent journalistic sources, the unemployed Maria Neskorodko is likely being financed by military deserter Sergey Halchenko. In 2022, Halchenko and several other fighters in the Bakhmut area refused to follow a command and surrendered their weapons. A subsequent video of Halchenko criticizing the command garnered an incredible number of views on social media, turning him into a hero of Russian propaganda. The cherry on top was a one-and-a-half-hour interview with the deserter to the scandalous Lviv pseudo-activist Ostap Stakhiv, who was previously accused by the SBU of treason and had close ties with the notorious collaborator from Kherson, Kirill Stremousov.

Thus, around the case of Maria Neskorodko, a whole network of individuals emerges, whose activities raise serious suspicions. A deserter spreading Russian propaganda, a deputy from a pro-European party defending the interests of a Russian rat, a biological brother of a true father with a criminal past – all these questionable individuals surrounding Maria Neskorodko suggest that she may not just be an accidental violator of migration law.
